BOURKE Rita Oakshotte (nee Light) Born 11th April 1918, died peacefully at Dane House Care Home, in Brighton on 23rd July 2015, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Bourke (retired Bank of England and Captain R.A.P.C.) and loving mother of Ann. Rita will be sadly missed by family and friends. She was a long-time and faithful member of Bishop Hannington Church in Hove, where one of her great joys was to help in the infants' crèche once every week, finally retiring at her 90th birthday. Special thanks go to all current and former staff of Dane House Care Home, who looked after Rita and cared for her with kindness over the past four years of her life. Service of thanksgiving for a long life, well lived, will be held at Bishop Hannington Church, on Monday, 10th August at 11.15 a.m. Family flowers only, please, but donations if desired for the National Trust, may be sent to Bungard Funeral Directors, 90 Sackville Road, Hove, BN3 3HE.
