Osborn Wins Pinner

Conservative candidate Paul Osborn won the Pinner ward by-election on Thursday July 12. The election was caused by the death of former Harrow Cllr Tony Cocksedge.

Cllr Osborn received 58 per cent of the vote and with 1,062 votes has as majority of 584. The 27-year-old Cllr has lived in Harrow for most of his life and was the Chairman of Harrow West Conservative Association for three years from 1997 to 2000. He is currently working in the IT department of a large financial company in the City.

Cllr Osborn said: "I am very happy. It is a very difficult time for the party and it is reassuring to see we have still got the support we had in the past."
