  • Leave iconic landmark to nature

    In answer to your question of whether the West Pier should be put to rest (The Argus, February 4), I have long believed that the “pier island” should be left as a ruin. Once the current clear-up is finished it will look even more iconic. read more

  • Enough is enough – return our train rails to public ownership

    I agree with the article by Adam Trimingham that suggests rail services need to get back on track (The Argus, February 3) and that Lord Adonis should strip First Capital Connect of its franchise. But I don’t think they should be given any more chances – as I’m sure many commuters will agree, enough is enough! read more

    I am astonished there is only one GP on call overnight to cover the quarter of a million residents in Brighton and Hove, and we are all having to rely on this one solitary doctor should we fall ill (The Argus, February 1). read more

    I would like to warn people Parking in the council car park for the Open Market in St Francis Street to be very careful not to stay over the allotted times. read more

  • The inn crowd

    Last year we lost our pub, the King’s Arms in George Street, Brighton. A group of about 14 of us, of mixed age between 50-75 years, used to meet up there every Friday night. We originally met each other in the pub 20 years ago. read more
