ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER – FRANCIS STREET 1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:- (a) Prohibit traffic in Francis Street from a point 5 metres west of its junction with Ditchling Road westwards to a point 8 metres east of its junction with London Road (b) Suspend the existing one-way traffic regulation order in Francis Street. 2. The Order is necessary to allow Contractors to safely construct adjacent flats and Market Development. 3. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the southern footway. 4. This Order comes into force on Wednesday 6th. June 2012 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed which is programmed to be sixteen months. Dated: 25th May 2012.
