Charity’s £5k to help vulnerable

A BRIGHTON charity helping vulnerable and marginalised people has received a grant from The Argus Appeal.

The Off The Fence Trust is a Christian response to social and spiritual poverty.

It has been awarded a £5,000 grant towards its work with the homeless, women in crisis, schools projects and safe house, provided by volunteers.

Graham Turnbull, from the charity, said: “It has come at just the right time as we have had quite a heavy winter with about 2,500 men and women on the streets in the city. We are trying to get them back on their feet.”
