FATHER Christmas helped light up a festive-themed party.

Hundreds of people gathered outside Donatello’s, in Brighton Place, Brighton, for the switching on of the Christmas lights in The Lanes.

Players from Brighton and Hove Albion also made an appearance and posed for pictures with youngsters. Free pizza and fruit was handed out.

All proceeds went towards the Argus Appeal.
