Brighton Marathon 2011 bigger and hotter!
Last Sunday was the second Brighton Marathon – and what a lovely day for it…if you were a spectator that is!
Laura Johnson has just moved to Brighton, and is keen to make the most of what our vibrant city has to offer. She'll be talking about her plans for the weekend - and asking what your plans are to swap inspiration.

After a summer of running around seeing relatives here there and everywhere it was great to spend last weekend just chilling in Brighton As we have not been around much - it would have been rude not to spend the weekend how you should any summer weekend in Brighton; pub hopping and not letting the rain stop a long beach BBQ!
The reason I have been quiet on the blogging front is that it is festival season and so I have spent quite a few days sitting in fields - or attemptig to recover back in the real world.
On Saturday night we saw some comedy with a difference – it was a sing-a-long and it was all about Brighton.
Taking my own advice, this weekend I didn’t let Sunday night slide by and I filled it with another free gig.
When I first moved down to Brighton, I was in the group that saw it as derelict remains of a building that should be torn down, but I have really grown to love the pier and think it can be quite beautiful. I love the stories about the conspiracies of the fires for insurance claims and think its uniqueness has made it somewhat an icon for Brighton with a lot more to it than the new pier.
Thursday saw round two of my Christmas parties – unfortunately it also brought lots of snow and I have learnt that heels and snow do not go – so as I am writing with a broken wrist I will keep this post short and sweet!
The Christmas party season is finally here and I went to my first Christmas party last night. Working in a PR agency, I have found that you never have a simple dinner dance for the Christmas do.
On Monday I saw Lord of the Dance. Now this isn't something I would have usually chosen to see but I bought two tickets as a gift for my mum and it was quite amazing.
The ghouls and ghosts come out this weekend and there’s so many fantastic spooky events to go to!
