Since graduating from Sussex many moons ago, I've spent most of my adult life as a nomad, living and working in places as farflung as California, Hong Kong and Beirut, with much crossing of continents and ski seasons in between. In recent years, I have finally managed to commit - to a husband, a mortgage, and Rupert Murdoch. Roaming and writing are my twin pleasures, so what could be better than blogging my life away on a train?
