Furor rages over the redevelopment plans for Saltdean Lido. While both sides - owner and action group - have some valid points, surely we don't want another 'city living by the sea' housing development replacing the Grade II listed lido.

Spring seems to be almost here! When I first started making this soup I wanted something that would bring a little bit of sunshine into my day. The chilly sea-fog that keeps rolling into Brighton most afternoons this week is a little damp (not to mention spooky) but the weather in this part of Sussex is finally getting a lot milder. On my walk to work yesterday morning in the sunshine, I actually unzipped my coat, slid off my scarf and took off my gloves without the shivery consequences I would've faced just a few weeks ago.

Sometimes, runners can be really rude. It doesn't happen very often, but every now and then, another runner will annoy me to the point where I want to chase after them and telling them to get over themselves.
