Officially Brighton Festival may have come to the end but there are some welcome stragglers. The other week I learned of one production that has been extended and so after hearing great reviews, I popped along to see the production called Before I Sleep.
Located at the old co-op, this was definitely a brilliant location to create a great atmosphere, Helped with some of the best set dressing I have seen; from the moment the production begins and until you walk out the door, you are whisked into another world.
So what it is all about? What’s the story? I only found out about this production through a friend who simply said, ‘I can’t explain what it is about, but you’ll love it!’ and she was right. To explain more than saying you are transported into a dream will only give some of the game away.
I can say that while this is outlined as a production, don’t think you’ll be comfortably sat watching from the audience. I would consider it more of an experience than a typical production. The give away is that you are told to wear comfortable shoes so get ready to be walking around and exploring.
Before I Sleep may have been extended for another few months but as the word is spreading, tickets are quickly selling out so grab yours fast - I really would recommend it!!
