Allotment Rules Reign 2

Photograph of the Author By Alan Phillips - Life with Lottie »

Dialogue and persuasion,... Like the flowers that bloom in the spring tra la... they have nothing to do with the case..,or even the newly blooming allotment rules.

The rules are to have and to hold from this day forward.

So to celebrate these rules I have set a quiz and ask you to send in your answers to both sets of questions ( in triplicate). The winner with the right answers and the best comment on this reign of rules, will receive a free framed set of rules to love and to cherish.

Are you taking us up a very wide garden path?

Excellent
such comprehensive rules
Our bible at last ! Can I be a desciple?
I feel truly directed ( restricted )now
I must remember to lop all my fruit trees and grow things under them if they arent in the 25% I have carefully put aside for "recreation"
Then there is the Willow- hush my mouth!
And the old shed has to go! Good job the new shed isnt as big as previously allowed otherwise I would have to cut back half of it too!
I am so delighted! ;>)

How can I comment when I can't take the 'quiz'? Blocked for some reason - very weird...

Sorry Rashika,
I think you must have been given notice to quit as especially as wierd behaviour might cause distress under rule 13.2 ( under section 12!).

Hemgee is of course right- you are allowed a wide path ( Section 9 paths and haulage ways) if you have steeply sloping plot and you have been out to lunch.

Lynne ,.... 2,4,6,8, who do we appreciate,....has clearly been re-educated and is storming into the lead. Take care about too much recreation though!

NB these are not the 3 page, light touch, model rules of the National Society of Allotment and Leisure gardens

The rules are worse than the current governments legislation. Incomplete, incoherent and ridiculous.

Rules should be clear, simple and we should not have representatives saying things like 'It doesn't mean that.' or 'We won't implement that one'. Both of these things were said at the AGM.

Can someone please give me the job description for the allotment police? Can I use a big stick?

I am very apposed to a lot of the content and feel it has been imposed rather rather than consulted upon democratically with exisiting allotment holders.I would like a public meeting to discuss them and I feel quite a lot of the rules should not be adopted - they are really quite draconian.
I will be making my views known to the allotment officer
any more people feel like doing the same?
feel free to join me and email the allotment officer today
