Brighton & Hove Albion: Vi-cent-sational

The Saturday before the Cheltenham Festival in 1997, Brighton & Hove Albion were staring oblivion in the face, not at the foot of the queue at Alton Towers, but in reality at the foot of the old League 2.

Brighton & Hove Albion : 2011 - JCL's and Pastry Smells.

We thought thrashing Leyton Orient Five Nil on News Years Day was good, and it was it’s always fun to thrash O’s. They were of course a rival a few years ago; My point is the curve of 2011 just went up and up for Albion fans. It usually goes up a little or even quite high like 1983, then comes down quite drastically, relegation or threat of expulsion from the league that sort of thing.

Any old iron!

You get a lot of Hammers fans in Brighton and Hove, they all know the Krays or their grandads did, apparently!

Brighton & Hove Albion - Bloom helps Argus Angel

Argus Award Winners Amanda Woodhouse and Tony Bloom help raise money for charity. Stuff about Mike Small coming soon. If I can remember any!

Does the Albion and Brighton in general need these trendy, wannabe Brightonians?

Jamie Theakstone would be outraged, Terry Garoghan would think it's a joke in very poor taste and Caroline Lucas probably doesn't have a clue about it. But Quentin Delahunty's (not Delia Hunt as reported in some quarters) remarkably ill informed blog questioning if Brighton and Hove needs its football club, has caused the outrage the author intended.

Brighton & Hove Albion: The 1901 to Falmer is right on time!

If you’re an Albion fan on Saturday morning you’re having a fairly pleasant dream, top of the entire Football League a 22,500 capacity sell out cup tie against Liverpool next week and still awaiting one of Spain’s greatest ever players to be unveiled in the midfield.

Brighton & Hove Albion: So let your voices ring my boys!

We’d all thought for years what it might be like, if it ever happened!

Where we're going we don't need chips!

Brighton & Hove Albion: It's time to say Goodbye!

So the curtain is about to fall on the theatre of trees. Oh what fun we’ve had over the last twelve years.

Brighton & Hove Albion: Any Clap In Southampton?

Sensational, outstanding, brilliant,a fantastic group of players, we will win this league. Those are the comments Nigel Adkins has made about Southampton so far this season. This is the Southampton who are currently just 16 points behind the Albion in League 1, not forgetting of course their game in hand.

Brighton And Loathed Albion

When I was a younger man, well a boy really in the late 80’s , I recall the Albion once won three games in row.

Cheers , but no old sko(o)l for me!

On Saturday I am going to Watford via Littlehampton and Horsham. Or I could get a bus to Crawley, but my mother tells me I haven’t had all my inoculations! Not really of course. Crawley is lovely and the bus goes to Three Bridges actually.

We're top of the league and we're having a laugh.

This is the Albion in all their pomp, swagger and affluence. Which, whether you like it or not, pretty much personifies the twin towns in this day and age.
