Owain has been pondering cinema for longer than he can remember; in secondary school he commandeered his own film column and has gone on to great success in the film round of many a pub quiz. Outside of movie critiques Owain is a film-maker himself and has directed music videos for the likes of Attack + Defend and Los Campesinos!, alongside short film commissions for Endemol and the BBC. He is also a writer of fiction and his debut novel Psyworm (co-written with Carl Morris) was published in 2006.
