Barefoot running won't be fun on Brighton's roads

I've had a few distractions in the last couple of weeks which have taken my attention away from running a bit. I got a second 20 miler in before I started tapering though, so I feel fairly well prepared.

As I completed my last double digits run on Sunday, I started paying closer attention to the road surfaces I will actually be running on this weekend, ouch! I've thought about phoning the council to try and get Brighton resurfaced before Sunday but I don't think it's likely. In my pocket on race day will be blister plasters and surgical tape, just in case.
