Eivind Nerberg - Walk a Pavement Once Again profile »

Argus Blogger - Eivind Nerberg

Suzi and I had never been to Brighton. From inclement Scotland it appeared to be a dazzling jewel - and that’s what it was.

The story of our year in the city began here on May 17.

An ex-teacher, my passions are Paris, Elton and Mozart, horse racing, writing, Suzi of course - and memories of Brighton, 2005 to 2006.

Our 'Jubilee' year

Everyone was asked, which novel begins: "Ours is essentially a tragic age, so we refuse to take it tragically"? Only I knew the answer!

SNOW IN WORTHING...

Looking back at February 2006 reminds me that at the time Suzi and were increasingly looking forward - and not enjoying it one bit. We were entering the final trimester of our year in Sussex.

THE BRIGHTON BUG...

When I left the call-centre with my prize-winning bottle of white wine, little did I know that I'd never be back...and apropos my previous post and Christopher Hitchens, a thanks to 'anubis'.

BEFORE I GET TO PLUMPTON...

What's sadder than the passing of a year is the passing of a life.

Pleasures of the Zimmer Zone (1)...

From the moment we moved into our flat we decided that in its immediate vicinity we'd put 'doing nothing twice' into cold storage.

A 'Smashing' Night Out...

I wasn't the warm-up act, but I was getting the audience's attention.
