Last preparatory run done. So that's it then

I got up this morning to do my final training run, a 30-minute jog. I decided I'd freak out completely and throw up instead, though, so I ended up doing it this evening when I got home.

It felt great, really relaxed and floaty, however it might have looked. People with lives were already congregating outside all the local pubs and nobody dropped anything or threw anything at me, so it can't have been that scary.

One day soon...in 2 days, in fact...I'll be able to sit with a drink and not have to worry about moving for hours and hours and hours. There's a small errand to be run before that, obviously, but having got the nerves and the vomiting out of the way this morning and run comfortably this evening, I'm starting again to look forward to it.

Countdown is progressing. I'm assured various people from the office will be scattered around the course hurling jelly babies, my friends and family have their meeting point agreed, I've organised catching up and eating afterwards, it all seems very under control for now. If you're coming, could I request some coconut ice for variety - hard to believe, I know, but you really can have enough jelly and it's much more Brighton, innit?

2 more sleeps. Eek.
