A very funny meme has started on Twitter today, with the discovery that former Beatle (and more famously, Peasemarsh resident) Paul McCartney is now tweeting.

Using the hashtag #askpaul, people are coming up with increasingly bizarre and not entirely respectful questions.

They're coming thick and fast, but some favourites from the last few minutes: "Where is the love? Where have all the flowers gone? Are these two facts connected?"

"A hypothetical food fight breaks out in heaven between John and George. Does Brian Epstein intervene?"

"Did you remember to change all the clocks in your house? Are you sure?"

" Is it a good idea to go chasing polar bears?"
