On the booze

I went against everything I hoped for this weekend. I had huge amounts of alcohol Friday night however I did boogie a little, so hoped that would help with the extra calories I was consuming. Finished the night or shall I say early morning of with a chicken burger! Missed Dinner Friday so come Saturday morning I was ready to eat a horse. I have been good recently and not been eating with my mates so late at night. I just could not resist this week. Saturday came and my sister was having a BBQ. I was good with half a hotdog and salad. I guess the few bottles of Carling probably were not the desert most people on a diet would have had?

Still no breakfast or dinner either Saturday or Sunday!

Done my weekly first aid bit Sunday morning. Although I stayed in Saturday night I felt completely drained like most Sundays. I think we can clearly see a weekend pattern coming on here. Finished and guess what? Yes you got it! went to the pub with my Dad and Mum. Not to many drinks at this stage however it was lunchtime. Returned home to an invite to another pub so quick spruce up and off I was again. A few vodkas and cokes later, I was walking home quite early and ready for my bed. The weekend and my lifestyle had finally got to me!

I was petrified coming to work today. Knowing I had been good last week but not the weekend could have undone all my chances for the first week weigh in.

Of course my colleague did not want to go first. So there I was in front of the team getting on the scales…………..1.4lbs! Success! Although not exactly the amount I wanted. I still lost weight!

Next my colleague jumped on 3.2lb. No I’m losing on the first week!

Right, time to sort this out.

I have 4 days until the Martletts midnight walk - oh feel free to sponsor me - www.justgiving.com/jos-13miles.

So five days of hardcore dieting then the midnight walk. Surely this will get me to the top again? There is no weigh in next Monday as it’s my birthday and I know that week not only will I be off work but also some serious drinking will take place.

I will set some targets and rules for this week and STICK TO IT!

Monday - Spend lunch hour walking round the park
Tuesday – Hills, Hills, Hills
Wednesday - More lunch hour walking – Stretches and weights in the evening
Thursday – Rest due to walk – possibly some light stretching
Friday – the 13-mile I promise no alcohol, no tea, just milk and water for those five days.

Wish me luck!
