Mother's Day Off?

My understanding from other mothers in regards to Mothers Day is that it is a guaranteed day off. It gives the impression that motherhood is just a job.
I feel that Gav and I are so lucky to be blessed with our beautiful little girl. I can't imagine a day without her. I don't consider motherhood a job where you earn a day off.
I've been thinking what Mother's Day means to me.
Mother's Day to me is about celebrating the relationship I have with my daughter. Just like any other day really. Having lost my own mother in my teens I am determined to make every moment count. It is important to me that we, as a family, create as many special moments as possible.
I hope all you Mums created many happy memories yesterday with more to come on the normal days too!
