Mummy Loves Disco!

It’s coming up again soon! That monthly rave where adults can let their hair down, have a drink, chat to like minded individuals, showcase new clothes and dance moves and - best of all - feel like they are part of the real world again. Only one stipulation – you have to take a toddler to gain entry!

Here be bears...

It’s a rainy Bank Holiday morning and what better way of entertaining ourselves than getting our hands on some ancient ribs and relics? The hidden gem that is the Booth Museum of Natural History on Dyke Road is an absolute delight and perfect for an hours free indoor amusement.

Putting on a front

We live in the Brunswick Town Conservation area, and feel very lucky to do so. I have always adored the beautiful Regency seafront and am now thrilled to find that I can walk out of my house and be right on top of it. The tall imposing buildings that face the sea and line the sweeping squares are grand and beautiful painted in their uniform mellow yellow (Sandtex Classic Stone Gloss in Hove Cream) and studded with the odd Blue Plaque.

Stranger Danger?

So this week I met someone off the internet! Yes a genuine meeting of someone I had never laid eyes on before – our only previous contact had been through a website and email and then text. But as a 36-year old married mother of one it probably isn’t what you are thinking and the blind-date in question was another married mum.

It's gymboree for me!
