Since graduating from Sussex many moons ago, I've spent most of my adult life as a nomad, living and working in places as farflung as California, Hong Kong and Beirut, with much crossing of continents and ski seasons in between. In recent years, I have finally managed to commit - to a husband, a mortgage, and Rupert Murdoch. Roaming and writing are my twin pleasures, so what could be better than blogging my life away on a train?

Aaaa-choo

Anyone else noticed how train folk don’t like sneezers? I was among the many recently who had a bit of a snuffle, largely due to the subzero temperatures outside, but hey, for all my neighbours’ fretting, it could have been swine flu.
