Down, but by no means out

This morning's boot camp left me feeling very disheartened.

Not only do I seem to have lost any sense of balance or co-ordination that I had, but going running at the weekend made my sciatica flare up.

This made some of the exercises, particularly the lunges, quite painful.

I don't feel like I worked as hard as I could and I am disappointed with myself. I'm also worried because I want to be able to run distances but the sciatica is making it very difficult at the moment.

My trainers don't help as they aren't giving me the proper support. So getting a decent pair is next on my agenda.

Fortunately the weather was on our side, for which I am extremely grateful.

Despite my dismay at this morning's session I am glad I am doing it. Exercising in this way is teaching me a lot about what my body can and cannot do and how I can train to push it that bit further, Tomorrow will be a better day.

Talking about trainers, make sure you get the right type of trainers. This is an interesting article where it explains why; http://www.dailymail
