Thirteen down, three to go

So, we have reached the last week of boot camp.

Last week was great, apart from missing Tuesday’s session because I overslept.

I ran further than I thought I could and the exercises were becoming easier.

However, that all went out of the window this morning.

Attending boot camp after only three hours sleep is not a good idea.

I hadn’t intended to have such little sleep but after getting in at midnight because I had been to see a festival show, I was unable to sleep.

That really showed this morning. My co-ordination was all over the place and I found the simplest of exercises difficult. Sometimes I don’t think I was cut out for boot camp and it’s quite disheartening.

But, I love the way becoming fitter has made me feel over the past few weeks.

I’m a bit slimmer, my skin is clearer and my friends have remarked that there is a healthier glow about me.

That’s not to say I’ve been entirely good.

On Friday I went to an Argus leaving do and by the time I left I had had far more to drink than I intended.

Not only that, I discovered when I woke the next day that I had updated Twitter at 2.45am so the whole world (including Rachael and my fellow Fitbitchers) new I had been drunk. Oh dear.

I am now back on the wagon and intend to give boot camp a massive push this week.

I’m hoping this morning will be a blip and that tomorrow will be better.

I am also keeping everything crossed that the rain holds off. We have been incredibly lucky so far.
