All my good intentions have gone out the window and all my hard work has been undone. I blame it on the house move. Two and a half solid weeks of packing, chucking and moving has left no time for even the most pathetic of runs. For two weeks I have been largely house bound.
My training seems to be plodding along, but I must confess I am not seeing the spectacular results I expected. I have visions of running fast and strong, my feet gliding across the ground greeting those I pass with a smug pride. In reality, I can just about stumble a little further than the benchmark tree that I was using as my guidance at the beginning. I must express my disappointment with this matter.
My first week successfully under my belt, I thought the hard part was over. I’d started, I'd successfully managed to achieve my weeks goals and eve found myself looking forward to the next sessions. But that was a week ago.
With last year's attempt at the 5k Race for Life leaving me in no doubt that my fitness levels were certainly not those of a 24-year-old it only seems fair that this year I should do myself, and my sponsors proud.
