Blackheads

Over the past few months I have been creating a documentary with several young people to raise people’s awareness on how the media portrays young asylum seekers, refugees and Muslims.

Becoming a lead student

As you are know lots of schools have prefects. Patcham High School has 32 lead students and about 60 students applied for the opportunity. The lead students for next year were chosen on 9th June and will be starting their roles properly on the 28th June.

Art 2010 at the Islington Art Business Design Centre

Art 2010 at the Art Business Design Centre was a fascinating experience. Andrew Gifford took me with him for the day as he exhibited some of his paintings there, in the John Martin gallery. There was hundreds of gallery’s exhibiting artists work from all around the world. The paintings that Andrew exhibited were a series of the Thames showing light bouncing off the water, in oil paint. They were very inspiring and looked great in the special lighting and handmade frames.

My passion for art

I am an artist and work mostly in oil paint. I enjoy painting landscapes, portraits and some still life. I have two friends who are professional artists and I benefit from their advice and criticism.

Preserve our planet

I think a sense of social responsibility should be an important part of business. Now many people are showing more awareness of the environment and how we should look after it; people want to see their society being looked after by local businesses and more importantly the big businesses that make an enormous impact on our earth. From my experience I do not believe that many businesses demonstrate a sense of responsibility towards society.

Why do most men and women moan about ageing when they are still very young? Ok so you may not like the idea of wrinkles and not having the same body you had ten years ago, but we don’t stay what we call “looking young” for even half our lives.

BLOG: Interacting in the adult world

A few weeks ago I started a philosophy course. I asked my friend who is fourteen and my tutor who’s an adult if they wanted to come as it’s a course for all ages. I was pleased that they could both make it. My friend and I were the only young people who attended the course.
