Invisible flyers draw in the crowds Invisible flyers draw in the crowds

A comedy show has been drawing in the crowds thanks to some invisible flyers.

Stars of Matt Whistler’s Radio West Pier were out in force handing out the “flyers” to bemused shoppers.

The Brighton Festival Fringe show incorporates comedy and film and will take place at the Alibi Pub in Victoria Terrace, Brighton tonight at 8.30pm.

Mr Whistler said the idea for the invisible flyers originated from a customer.

He said: “It started on the first night when a guy in the bar tried to convince our door girl that he had put an invisible £5 in the jar to see the show.

“When she told me about it I started thinking about invisible flyers. So many flyers are given out every year around the world and I thought it might even be a concept that could take off. It’s environmentally friendly, you don’t have to pay for printing and it makes people laugh.”

Mr Whistler, who has made headlines in the past by travelling from Land’s End to John O’Groats on a push scooter, said audience members have really got into the spirit of the idea.

He said: “One guy told us he’d forgotten his invisible flyer and would we mind if he ran home to get it. He came back five minutes later with it.”

Matt Whistler’s Radio West Pier takes place monthly at the same venue. For more information visit myspace.com/radiowestpier.

Great idea but that font's awful and they'd be better in orange.

Some fiend once ripped me off claiming to have an "invisible horse" for sale. I was so disappointed when I found it was actually an invisible panda. You can't ride a panda!

Yeah, sorry about that, but it was hard to tell the difference between them in the dark.

If it's any consolation I could't find a shop that would take the invisible money you gave me.

I got one of his flyers it isnt up to much, it only walks and then only when I take it out.
I have to keep it on a lead though so I know where it is.
one handy thing about it though I dont have to pick up the poo as nobody can see it.
makes me laugh when they tread in it.

You think you've got problems; you should try being a six-foot high invisible rabbit. People don't believe in pookahs any more, these days I exist mainly in cyberspace.
