As the author of England’s Dreaming, author Jon Savage is perhaps the punk era’s definitive cultural commentator.
Through interviews with everyone from Joe Strummer to the Sex Pistols, he evoked an era that tipped the music world on its axis in 1976.
Here he is in conversation with one of the book’s featured artists, Jah Wobble. As a founding member of post-Pistols iconoclasts Public Image Ltd, the bass- toting dub renegade was there from the beginning. The talk forms part of the Brighton Festival and is in association with the Great Escape Festival.
