Antony Hegarty first came to Brighton Festival back in 2003 when he accompanied Lou Reed on his Raven Tour. Two years later the Antony And The Johnsons frontman went on to pick up the Mercury Music Prize with his musings on death and body dysmorphia – I Am Bird Now.
After a brief interlude of doleful but brilliant disco via a collaboration with New Yorkers Hercules And Love Affair, Johnson has turned his gaze and tremulous vocals to Mother Nature with new album The Crying Light – the reason for this appearance.
