The face of Brighton Fringe 2012 has been revealed.
Richard Collyer is head chef at the Pub With No Name in Southover Street.
The 38-year-old beat 400 people to represent the largest fringe festival in the country.
He will appear on the front of the brochure for this year’s event in a visual pun on the Olympic torch.
He said: “I spent about ten hours running on the beach in November – it was freezing.”
