Engaging with new music

A college will play a key role at this week’s The Great Escape new music festival.
Northbrook College in Worthing has been invited to be the key education partner at the festival’s music industry convention.
It will deliver a series of workshops and debates on contemporary music issues and business models.
The college, which is affiliated to the University of Brighton, will also host three panel talks with leading figures from the music industry on music law, digital marketing and music production.
The panels have been co-ordinated by Mike Pailthorpe, course leader for the college’s music business degrees and Lisa Holloway, The Great Escape’s fundraising manager, who also plays a business development role at Northbrook and teaches on its music business courses.
