A major employer has underlined its commitment to the city.

Domestic & General has renewed the lease for its Brighton office for another 10 years. The move will secure jobs and support the local economy. The firm employs 750 people in the city.

Meanwhile renovation work has begun on a disused building next to Domestic & General’s offices at Queens Square House.

The 4,704 sq ft extension will create space for an additional 70 workstations, upgraded training facilities and additional meeting and recruitment suites.

Ben Dale-Gough, the site operations manager, said the decision to remain in Brighton was due to positive company growth. He said: “Like so many people in this town, we came and didn’t want to leave so decided to make it our home.”
