STUDENTS are a cut above the rest after securing barber jobs.
City College Brighton and Hove student Lloyd Tullet is now working at H's Barber Shop on The Drive while Fred Foreman has been offered a job at Keehan’s Barber Shop on Boundary Road.
They learnt traditional barbering skills at the College combined with a period of voluntary work experience.
Rachel Godden, Lloyd and Fred’s tutor, said: “Because of current fashions in male grooming, traditional barbering skills are very much in demand.
“It’s a very competitive industry and their course has given them the edge but Lloyd and Fred also deserve huge credit for grabbing the opportunities that their work experience gave them and being totally focused on learning the correct professional techniques.
“Their success in the job market speaks volumes for their motivation and dedication.”
