INDIAN restaurant Azaro has been presented with an award after being highly commended in a parliamentary competition.
Mike Weatherley, Conservative MP for Hove, presented the staff with the special Tiffin Cup chef jacket and certificate as Azaro was highly commended in the competition.
Azaro, on Church Road, Hove, was nominated by Mr Weatherley to compete in the House of Commons competition for the coveted Tiffin Cup.
The MP has pushed for a Hove winner each year and the Tiffin Cup 2014 is his fifth entry into the competition.
He said, “While it is disappointing that Azaro missed out on the Tiffin Cup, their Highly Commended award nevertheless highlights the excellent quality of this restaurant.
“I am sure that they will put the chef jacket to good use and I hope that they will enter again next year.”
