A SUMMER camp for start-ups has been set up to bring inspiration and forward-thinking with a backdrop of beautiful Sussex scenery.

The Happy Startup School will give entrepreneurs trade secrets on running a happy, fulfilled and productive workforce.

Campers will be encouraged to enjoy a digital detox away from phones and laptops, and soak up a host of workshops, skills clinics and listen to high-profile speakers. There will also be entertainment, music, food and comedy.

Held in a field over three days on Busses Farm, near East Grinstead, start-ups are promised they will learn new tricks, meet like-minded people and have a thoroughly good time.

This year’s camp will be hosted by Sanderson Jones, a comedian and founder of the Sunday Assembly – a godless congregation that celebrates life.

Sanderson famously sold out The Sydney Opera House by hand and is the former World Record holder of the world’s longest hug.

Other speakers include Andy Budd of Clearleft, Max St John of NixonMcinnes and Jack Hubbard of Propellernet – all Brighton-based success stories.

The summer camp, held in September, is the work of Spook Studio/The Happy Startup School, based at New England House, Brighton.
