A YOUNG marketer who started a food blog to get healthy is picking up national plaudits.
Cate Bell, 19, pictured right, started Cate in the Kitchen in April as part of a “once and for all” health kick.
The blog has gone from strength to strength and is set to appear in Olive magazine while picking up a nomination for the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards.
Cate said: “I’ve always loved cooking but a few months back I decided to start really applying myself to cooking stuff that was actually good for me and I figured if I set up a food blog, I’d have the obligation to continue creating healthy recipes and not give in to takeaways quite so much.
“Cate in the Kitchen is about 90% recipes, with the occasional restaurant, event or book review.
“My passion for music is second only to my passion for cooking, so at the end of each recipe I provide a track recommendation that I think would go nicely with the food.
“I recently undertook a ‘6 weeks of vegan’ recipe project which was a challenge but also a learning curve, and produced an eBook at the end of it filled with vegan products that can be found on supermarket shelves.”
The blog is at www.cateinthekitchen.co.uk
