A twitter networking event was held for businesspeople to put faces to names.
Worthing Town Crier Bob Smytherman joined #Worthinghour at Subway EPS, an exhibition, signage and photography specialists in Newland Road, Worthing.
At the 60-minute networking event, held every Wednesday between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, local businesspeople come together to chat, share experiences, support each other and raise their profile online using the hashtag #worthinghour.
It was started by communications and design agency Cuckoo Communications to celebrate and support independent businesses and entrepreneurs in the town.
Director Harriet Glover said: “We’ve had three meet-ups now and it’s great to put faces to names and chat in messages that are longer than 140 characters.
“It’s really taken off in a way that we could never have dreamed of and every week we have so many great Worthing businesses online.”
Businesses can join #worthinghour every Wednesday from 8.30pm to 9.30pm using the hashtag #worthinghour.
