A pizza chain has created even more jobs in the county after opening another new store.

Papa John’s Peacehaven was officially opened by the mayor and assistant mayor of the town on Tuesday.

Mayor Robert Robertson and assistant Deborah Donovan tucked into pizza at the firm’s South Coast Road branch to celebrate the creation of eight new positions. They were joined by Papa John’s area manager Brighton Makombe and marketing manger Kylee Charles.

Kylee said: “We had a soft opening on Tuesday last week with no marketing, leaflets or anything, but we’ve had a really good response from the local community. The mayor presented us with a plaque and we had lots of pizzas ready for people to have a celebratory snack.

“We’ve created eight new jobs at the Peacehaven store and are also looking for drivers at the moment.”

The Peacehaven store follows the opening of a Papa John’s branch in Station Road, Portslade, and the creation of half a dozen new jobs.
