A COMPANY that prints 98% of the UK’s bus tickets has given a much loved charity a Christmas boost by putting their message into the hands of thousands of passengers.

Ticketmedia, based in Hove, prints millions of bus tickets every week and puts advertising for local businesses on the back.

This month it is running a free campaign for the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. Jeremy Burbidge, managing director at Ticketmedia, was touched after hearing the work Rockinghorse does raising money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital. Jeremy said: “As a parent with a young daughter it’s impossible not to be touched by the incredible work done by Rockinghorse and be in awe of the world class medical care children receive at the Royal Alexandra. “At a time when the NHS is having such a tough time everyone at Ticketmedia is delighted to be supporting such a fantastic cause.”

When bus passengers buy a ticket they will see the message about Rockinghorse on the back with details about how to simply donate using their mobile phone.

Ryan Heal, chief executive at Rockinghorse, said: “With Christmas being such a busy time for all, it’s easy to forget that for many children, right here in Brighton, Christmas will be spent in hospital.

“At Rockinghorse we try to give them as much of a special Christmas as every other child in Sussex and the text to donate campaign is a quick, easy and affordable way for everyone travelling across the City to help us in our goal this Christmas.”
