A FORMER nightclub has been sold through auction for an undisclosed sum.
The former Jive Monkey Theatre, in Steine Street, Brighton, had a freehold guide price of £325,000 to £350,000.
The three-storey premises has been an established licensed venue for more than 30 years.
Sam Kinloch, senior auction valuer at Clive Emson, said: “The property was sold prior to our auction today, for an undisclosed sum, following keen market interest. The offer made was one the seller felt obliged to accept.
“The premises could reopen as a club or bar, with the benefit of an existing, all-week 3am late-night licence.
“There is also potential for conversion to commercial and residential use, subject to planning consents.”
