A 21-YEAR-OLD student entrepreneur is taking on the ethical fashion industry by storm with one of the biggest platforms of its kind in the UK.
Tiffany Roberts’ eponymous TIFF website is celebrating its first birthday and is fast-approaching 60 brands and rising.
The former Brighton College pupil is doing it all while commuting to study for a fashion business degree at London’s Tech City.
Despite this unconventional approach to running a start-up Tiffany is balancing running a business with student life. The idea for the site - which stands for ‘trendsetting, innovative, fair, fashion’ - was conceived in 2012 during her gap year, and launched with only 11 brands.
Every product on the site is either Fairtrade, recycled, sustainable, organic cotton, bamboo or other eco-friendly materials.
Tiffany worked in a letting agent to fund her business idea while interning at a fashion-tech start-up to gain experience, where she and a developer started TIFF.
