A CRAFTSWOMAN has told how her online shop has “significantly boosted” her retail business.

Suzanne O’Leary, 34, originally started making kiln-formed glass as a hobby which she sold from a former fisherman's arch in the Artist’s Quarter in 2011.

The Little Beach Boutique has since moved to North Road, Brighton, and Suzanne set about building an online presence with her handmade ceramics, stationary, lighting and jewellery, proving a hit with North Laine shoppers.

She said: “Much of the success of Little Beach Boutique has been down to building a strong online presence.

“As I work in a competitive market, the ability to interact and engage with my customers is made possible via the shop’s digital presence, particularly when it comes to my social media channels.

“Having an online shop through the website has significantly boosted my customer base and allows people to find Little Beach Boutique before they even visit Brighton.”

Little Beach Boutique is being showcased as part of the Government’s Do More Online campaign which aims to help small businesses improve digital skills to find more customers, be more efficient, and save money.
