A PROM dress shop is heading into the summer ball market with a giveaway for one lucky girl.

Cinderellas in Ladies Mile Road, Brighton, is ready for the summer proms being held by 85% of secondary schools across the area, where one in ten parents spends more than £500 on their children.

Run by co-owners Ruth Dawson and Paula Hallett, the shop deals exclusively in dresses for the big occasion.

The shop opened earlier this year.

Mrs Dawson said: “The prom industry symbolises much more than just a dance.

“Schools and pupils are already well into the planning phase of how they are going to say goodbye and since we opened we haven’t stopped with visits to several schools and back-to-back appointments.”

Anyone who buys a dress up until Friday is entered into a draw with prizes worth more than £900.

The winner gets a dress, shoes and accessories as well as hair, makeup and nails from Boutique by PK. A ride is supplied by Sussex Chauffeurs.
