THIS is the first image of facilities at the i360 which will accommodate up to 1,000 conference guests.

A beach building at the base of the 162 metre tower will hold conference and events rooms, with room for between 10 and 1,000 guests.

The attraction’s giant glass viewing pods with sky bar, state of the art sound system and video screens can be hired exclusively for receptions for up to 200 people.

Meeting rooms will be suitable for between 10 to 300 people and are located in a separate suite away from the main public building.

A restored 1866 toll booth will also be available to hire for private dining and receptions in the evening accommodating up to 58 people.

Eleanor Harris, chief executive of the Brighton i360, said: “There is no other venue like this on the south coast and we have taken exceptional care to design these rooms and all the facilities to create somewhere truly special for conferencing and events, weddings and other parties.”

Construction of the attraction will take a major step forward on Thursday when 17 steel cans for the main tower will be brought by barge from The Netherlands.
