AFRICAN drummers, acrobats and an ice sculpture made for an exhilarating welcome to the 2015 Acumen Business Convention.
Now in its sixth year, delegates enjoyed a three-course lunch at The Grand before heading to interactive legal workshops, hosted by experts from the Acumen Business Law team.
The keynote speaker was Sir Tim Smit KBE, the brainchild and creator of the Eden Project, who revealed his journey from double platinum musician to successful entrepreneur and creator of the world’s largest indoor rainforest attraction.
The coveted Business Acumen Award went to Pankaj Vekria, of IT firm Lan 2 Lan.
Penina Shepherd, founder and managing director of Acumen, said, “This one has topped them all. There was unprecedented attendance, fantastic speakers, a tasty lunch and the Business Acumen Award too. The entire team has worked relentlessly to make it happen and the feedback has been exceptional.”
