The i360 is going up.
Brighton's seafront viewing tower has risen above ground.
The first cans for the 26metre tower were jacked into place yesterday.
Watch the progress of the i360 building works live on The Argus' i360 webcam.
Designed by Marks Barfield Architects, the creators of the London Eye, the steel cans will be joined together to hold a giant, curved-glass pod capable of holding up to 200 people.
The futuristic-looking pod will glide slowly from street level to 450ft to give a 360-degree view of up to 26 miles of the south coast, from Bexhill to Chichester.
