LEADING independent estate agency Mishon Mackay was welcomed a land consultant into its business.

Matthew Hollywood’s Hollywood Land has become part of Mishon Mackay Land & New Homes.

Mr Hollywood, who joins as land and development director, has previously worked as a consultant for Mishon Mackay for the last six years, helping build up its land department with the sale of several sensitive, high profile and heritage sites.

The Mishon Mackay specialist land and new homes office was started in 2003 and built upon the late Glenn Mishon.

With the market now picking up and the city and its surroundings becoming an ever-increasing hotspot for developers from London and further afield, Mishon Mackay was looking to expand to match the dynamic new era.

Mr Hollywood said: “I see this exciting joining of our companies as bringing each other something very special.

“It really is a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts.’

Hollywood Land will continue to offer land agency services throughout the South East, providing business for Mishon Mackay in new homes, lettings or residential.

Julie Frith, director at Mishon Mackay and outgoing president of the Brighton and Hove Estate Agents Association, said: “Alex Mackay and I greatly admire Matthew’s energy and creativity, while his professional standing in the Land industry is an invaluable asset to Mishon Mackay.

“It has always been our aim to provide top class service to our clients and we are a strong team. Together our new company will undoubtedly go from strength to strength.”

Earlier this year, Matthew Hollywood worked with Mishon Mackey on the marketing of The Lansdowne Place Hotel.

Planning permission to transform the historic Hove building into 47 flats has already been secured, with an application to demolish and alter extensions, including creation of additional penthouse, still under consideration.
