QUEUES of commuters could be reduced after a rail company applied for planning permission for more ticket machines.
Govia Thameslink Railway has applied for consent to put two extra ticket vending machines on Brighton Station concourse and one additional machine to the left of Hove Station’s entrance.
The firm said adding more ticket machines was part of its franchise agreement with the Department for Transport to respond to rising passenger numbers.
A decision on the application is expected at the start of June.
