AN AWARD-WINNING digital agency is relocating to Brighton to access the city’s rich talent pool.

RocketMill, which is currently based in Crawley, has signed a ten-year lease at City View, in the heart of the city’s digital cluster.

A recent winner of two Gatwick Diamond Business Awards, the agency was founded in 2009 by brothers Ben and Sam Garrity, and started life by helping small SMEs with search engine marketing.

Formed in the teeth of the recession, RocketMill has invested in recruiting top talent from more established agencies and developing its own software.

Sam said: "We’re thrilled to confirm this long term investment in our infrastructure. This concludes what has been a lengthy consideration process, with our existing team and clients front of mind throughout.

"The property fits perfectly with our vision for RocketMill, giving us a first class purpose built environment, whilst placing us in the heart of a vibrant digital community.

"The move will allow us great access to further talent, we will build upon the strong relationship we have with the University of Brighton, and importantly – it will be a lot of fun for the team’.

"RocketMill have recognised the benefits of moving to Brighton as a way to enhance their success in retaining/attracting a vibrant and creative orientated workforce.”

City View, on Stroudley Road, is in the heart of the New England Quarter adjacent to Brighton train station, with Grade A specification and an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating.

Angus Monteith, property development manager at McAleer & Rushe, said: "To secure such an exciting company vindicates our decision to push on with a speculative office development.

"We have delivered a best-in-class building with West-End quality finishes. RocketMill have recognised the benefits of moving to Brighton as a way to enhance their success in retaining/attracting a vibrant and creative orientated workforce."

Earlier this year Rocketmill won Employer of the Year & Digital Marketing Business of the Year at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards - the third year in a row it was won the digital award.

Sam Garrity added: “We are surprised and delighted to have won these awards. We have bold ambitions in terms of our employer brand and to win the employer award shows we are on the right track.

"Making history by winning the digital award for three consecutive years is much deserved public recognition for the hard work our team put into campaigns and driving value for our clients.”
