MORE than 1,000 job-hunters are expected at The Argus Jobs Fair tomorrow.

Major employers including the University of Sussex, Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, YMCA and Crunch Accounting will be on the hunt for fresh new talent at the event.

Also exhibiting will be Brighton and Hove City Council, Hove College, McDonalds and Plumpton College, among others.

Argus editor Mike Gilson said: “Whether you’re fresh out of school, college or university and looking for your first job, or you have an illustrious career behind you, this is the jobs faire for you.

“The jobs market has seen a massive improvement in recent years so we’re really excited to hosting this event.”

The Jobs Fair aims to provide a link between training organisations, employers and employees.

Attendees will get the chance to meet prospective employers face to face and apply for jobs in person, enhance their profile and increase their chances of being hired and better their career opportunities.

It is open to the public and free to attend.

Among the opportunities available, YMCA Training is offering apprenticeships in childcare, health and social care, supporting teaching and learning, customer service and business administration.

Brighton Racecourse is hiring full-time and casual staff, while apprentice training and career appointees are available at Brighton and Aldridge Community Academy as well its counterpart academy in Portslade.

Leading digital start-up Crunch Accounting is looking for client managers, accountants and developers; while the Greater Brighton Economic Board is seeking a policy and projects manager.

Hove College has positions in web and digital design, internet marketing and creative communications.

And The Argus is recruiting multimedia field and telephone sales executives.
