FORTY jobs have been created at a new family fun and fitness activity centre.

Urban Jump - based in a warehouse on Ghyll Road Industrial Estate, Heathfield - has a state of the art trampoline park along with a unique ninja warrior assault course that will put participants' speed, skill, agility and fitness to the test.

The park can accommodate more than 150 visitors across all facilities at any given time, with over 50 trampolines, a dodgeball court, foam pit, basketball nets and interactive games.

There is also a vibrant, purpose built soft play park for younger children where they can explore.

The business, founded by Richard Hand and Graham Owen, received funding from the East Sussex County Council Grants and Loans panel fund through Locate East Sussex, the county’s business support service.

Richard said: "Urban Jump was created to fill a gap in the leisure, fitness and recreation market - somewhere that has something to offer everyone.

"It's a place where people can come and play, develop new skills, get fit or just relax, all under one very modern and welcoming roof.

"The lifestyle in East Sussex is extremely important to us. The pace of life, feeling safe and the quality of education for our children are what we find appealing about running a business here."

Adam Berger, location service manager at Locate East Sussex, said: "This is one of the most exciting new attractions to the region in years.

"We are delighted to have been able to help Richard and his team to get this impressive facility off the ground."
